This reflex test is a light board game inspired by the Batak walls used in motorsport training. Twelve buttons sit in a grid, and one lights up at a time. You hit it, another lights, and your score is the number of hits before the clock runs out.

How a light board reflex tester differs

A classic reaction test waits for one signal. A light board keeps you busy nonstop. You need quick eyes to spot the new light, fast hands to reach it, and calm focus so you do not slap the wrong button.

That mix is why race teams and sports coaches like light board drills. They train hand-eye speed, peripheral vision and stamina in one short session. On a phone it becomes a thumb challenge; on a laptop it is a mouse sprint.

30 seconds or 60 seconds

The 30 second mode is a sprint where you stay sharp start to finish. The 60 second mode tests endurance, because most people slow down after the halfway point. Each mode has its own leaderboard, so pick one and stick with it when you track progress.

A typical first try lands near 30 hits in 30 seconds on a laptop. Regular players push well past 40. Your result shows how many players you beat in the same mode.

How it works

  1. 01

    Choose 30 or 60 seconds

Short mode for speed, long mode for stamina. Then press Start.

  2. 02

    Hit the glowing light

Only the lit button counts. The next one appears in a new spot right away.

  3. 03

    Beat your hit count

When time is up, see your hits, rating and place on the leaderboard.

Frequently asked questions

How many hits make a good reflex test score?

In the 30 second mode, around 30 hits is typical for a first try. Over 40 is very good, and over 50 is outstanding. In 60 seconds, roughly double those numbers.

What is a Batak board?

Batak is a brand of light board used for reaction training. Lights flash on a wall of buttons and the player hits each one. Motorsport teams and athletes use boards like it, and our game copies the idea on screen.

Does this reflex test work on phones?

Yes. The buttons are large enough to tap with a thumb. Hold the phone in portrait and use both thumbs for the best scores.

Why do I slow down near the end?

Your hands and focus tire quickly in a nonstop drill. That fade is normal, and it is why the 60 second mode exists. Regular practice builds the stamina to stay quick.

Is a reflex test the same as a reaction time test?

They overlap but are not the same. A reaction test times one response to one signal. A reflex test like this one adds searching, aiming and endurance.

Do wrong taps count against me?

Tapping a dark button does nothing, but it wastes time. The only penalty is the hits you miss while your finger is in the wrong place.
